How do I begin?
I was born in Tehran, and was lucky to grow up in a vibrant city that was full of life. My family emigrated to the United States when I was in my late teens. I attended college in Maryland. As soon as I was on my own, I moved to L.A. where I continued my studies and expanded my horizons. In the early nineties, I was drawn to a career in counseling. My training draws on attachment theory, developmental and Gestalt psychology, as well as Family Systems Theory.
The shift to matchmaking has been a natural evolution of my 20-year practice as a Family and Couples Therapist. During that time, I saw and helped hundreds of couples resolve issues, grow in their understanding of themselves, and deepen their bonds to each other.
Later, I trained and was certified at the Matchmaking Institute. I have also received additional training in counseling in Switzerland and Germany, and at the Esalen Institute at Big Sur, California.
My desire to help others has its roots in what I witnessed in my teens during the political revolution in Iran. Today, I’m a successful business woman, therapist and matchmaker. In addition to being a mother, sister and daughter, I define myself by how I want to occur to others, and the possibilities that I create for myself and those around me.
I am passionate about what I do! I delight in celebrating the shared joy found by my clients
